God's Promise For...
Thursday May 5th is "We Are Comforted to Be Comforting."
Scripture: When we suffer for Jesus, it works out for your healing and salvation. If we are treated well, given a helping hand and encouraging word, that also works to your benefit, spurring you on, face forward, unflinching. Your hard times are also our hard times. When we see that you’re just as willing to endure the hard times as to enjoy the good times, we know you’re going to make it, no doubt about it. - 2 Corinthians 1:6-7 (MSG).
God pours words of comfort on us when we go through difficult times to heal and restore what the pain and sorrow rip apart. God does this for two reasons. One, God's wants us to be whole. Two, God wants us to partner with God in spreading that same wholeness to others. So, if you've ever been comforted...pass comfort on to someone else who needs it.
